Away Record: (4-0)

AVG PA: 25.8 pts
W/L Streak: W 1 |
Game Date: Friday,

Simply put, the winner gets a share of the Middle Border championship with
River Falls. Rice Lake slogged through a determined Superior team last to week,
winning 48-42, to set up the meeting with Hudson. The Warriors average 34 points
per game versus Hudson's 30. Defensively Rice Lake is giving up 25 points per
game to Hudson's 18. With the game being played in Hudson, the Raiders defense
should have the edge for the win, but the Warriors have won so many clutch
playoff games the past few years that they won't panic in a close game. |

AVG PA: 18.9 pts
W/L Streak: W 1 |

Before Week 8, this game looked to be of huge importance to both teams in Cloverbelt play. But a final play loss to Regis in Week 7 dashed Mondovi's
championship aspirations. Durand-Arkansaw's surprising loss to Fall Creek last
Friday eliminated the Panthers from title contention altogether. Despite the
negative turn of events, do not expect a lackluster effort from either of these
teams. Just ten miles apart, this rivalry has seen some spectacular football no
matter what has been on the line. Mondovi needs the win to ensure a home game to
start the playoffs while Durand-Arkansaw would drop to fourth in the conference
and also would have a playoff seed drop as well. |

Who would have thought that Turtle Lake would enter Week 9 with a chance for a
share of the Dunn-St. Croix. A season opening loss to Regis certainly didn't
raise expectations, but the Lakers bounced back from a Week 4 loss to Spring
Valley to run the table and set up this unlikely opportunity. Boyceville has
been outstanding on both sides the ball this season. Their 36-0 victory over
winless Colfax last Friday was their lowest scoring output for the season. Led
by QB Carson Roemhild, the Bulldogs would appear untouchable. A title clinching
win over the Lakers should also get the Bulldogs into playoff mode. |

A win for Altoona secures an impressive second place Middle Border finish. But
a win over Somerset gives the Railroaders a seventh win in 2025, a milestone the
Altoona football program hasn't achieved in decades. Somerset and Altoona
swapping football power in the Middle Border is mind-blowing. |
The Pick Altoona |

Altoona Overall Record: (6-2)

Both teams are 3-2 in Lakeland conference play with third place at stake in
this game. More than that, Unity needs a win to have a shot at the playoffs
through a winning conference record. A loss would drop the Hornets into fourth
place in the Lakeland but Cadott's overall record could be enough to get them
into the D6 playoffs. |
