With Spring Valley having a down year and Cadott moving to the Lakeland, these
are definitely the two big dogs left to fight over the Dunn-St. Croix
championship. Boyceville has outscored opponents 112-0 in their 3 wins but that
dominance will hit a real challenge against the Hilltoppers. Glenwood City
nearly pulled off the upset against highly ranked Grantsburg last week, losing
28-24. The winner of this game becomes the clear favorite to win the D-SC. |

Game Date: Friday,

A year ago, the Saints rolled through the Heart of the North after a
convincing 28-6 win in Week 4. St. Croix Falls is hoping for a repeat Week 4
performance this Friday. The Saints have transitioned to a pass heavy offense
behind QB Brett Sladky. The junior QB has already thrown for 807 yards and 8 TDs
through 3 games. Northwestern, on the other hand, is the same rushing juggernaut
it has always been, relying on Ethan Harms and Tysen Teal to pound out first
downs and physically dominate opponents. St. Croix Falls will put on a show, but
the extra possessions will play right into the Tigers hands. |
The Pick Northwestern |
|
Northwestern Overall Record: (3-0)
Conf. Record: (1-0)

Away Record: (1-0)
AVG PF: 46.3 pts
AVG PA: 16.3 pts
W/L Streak: W 3 |
Game Date: Friday,
September 12th
The defending Big Rivers champs are off to a fast start behind QB Nick
Stellrecht and RB Austyn Wittek. Wittek torched Chippewa Falls for 214 yards
rushing and 3 TDs in New Richmond's 42-14 thrashing of the Cards last Friday.
The Raiders outlasted a very good Menomonie team last week, 26-8. Hudson has the
speed in their backfield to give New Richmond's defense fits but the Raiders
won't face a better defensive front all year. Close game decided by fourth down
stops. |

P/A has been on an amazing run the past few years, winning or sharing 4 of the
last 5 Dairyland titles. Last season saw a three-way tie for the championship
with Blair-Taylor and Cochrane-Fountain City. This season could result in a
similar result with those same teams off to 3-0 starts. Home teams tend to win
showdown games in the Dairyland and this week will again set that precedent.
Blair-Taylor likely gets round one of the head to head battles between the big
three. |
The Pick Blair

Blair - Taylor Overall Record: (3-0)

Before last week's close 28-24 win over Glenwood City, the Pirates looked like
a lock to run the table and advance as a number 1 seed in the playoffs. Was
there a letdown after the win over St. Croix Falls or is Glenwood City a very
good team that nearly pulled the upset? Grantsburg needs to figure that out as
they take on the last real challenge on their schedule on the road at Cadott.
The Hornets have averaged 45 points a game in their 3 opening season wins but
they have not faced a team anywhere near as challenging as Grantsburg. Close
game, but home field advantage won't be enough to overcome Grantsburg's big game
experience. |
The Pick Grantsburg |

Cadott Overall Record: (3-0)
