Glenville Emmons hs- freshman, holds multiple school records at
Glenville Emmons
6'5 Guard Jerrod Buchholtz-Durand hs-
transfer from Viterbo College- led the Panthers to the 2005-2006 Middle
Border Conference title and was selected to the WBCA All-Star team in 2006.
6'0 Guard Alex Mason- Humbolt hs
(St. Paul ) - a transfer from Mesabi community college.
6'0 Guard Jamal Khan- Park Center hs
(Maple Grove)- was ranked the # 3 point guard in Minnesota by rivals.com
6'7 Forward Cory Bell- Park Center hs
( Maple Grove ) - transfer from Iowa Lakes Community College where he was an
all conference performer

Madison hs- another transfer from Iowa Lakes Community College
7'1 Center Jesse Piehl- Tripoli, Iowa
hs- transfer from Gogebic Community College in Ironwood, Michigan.
The Eau Claire Crush and the Chippewa
Valley Predators are set for a Great Plains Football League
semifinal playoff game this Saturday night at Carson
Park. Both teams come in with a record of 8-2 and the Crush look to
avenge a regular season loss to the Predators. The final score of that game
was 24-17.
The Osceola Braves, Prescott Pirates,
Ellsworth Hubbers, Tilden Tigers, Chippewa Falls Jacks, Beef River
Bullfrogs, Menomonie Eagles and Eau Claire Bears have
all punched their ticket to the Wisconsin Baseball Association
playoffs at this point.
The Milwaukee Brewers
acquired relief pitcher Scott Linebrink from the San
Diego Padres in exchange for three minor league pitchers.
Brewers pitching ace Ben Sheets is reportedly
out until at least September 1st.
The Green Bay Packers,
Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings open training
camp this weekend.

Finally, Big Ten commissioner Jim
Delany told an Iowa newspaper this week that he expect talks to
heat up once again amongst Big Ten schools to possibly add a 12th
school to the Big Ten conference.
