all this lead to a Gold Ball in the form of a state championship for
the Ramblers? The arm belongs to Jake Campbell who has led Regis
to an undefeated season in his first year at quarterback. Jake is well
known in the area as one of the premiere place kickers in the Midwest, and Saturday booted two field goals in the win over Edgar in addition
to running for a score. But the pleasant surprise has been the near
2000 yards passing and the above 50% accuracy Jake has accomplished
this year. Saturday was no exception as Campbell coolly threw for 178
yards on only 8 completions. Mike O'Connell has taken over as the
all time receiving yardage leader in Northwest Wisconsin this season.
His acrobatic touchdown catch sealed the Level 2 win over Cameron and
big catches against Edgar set up scores. Mike also dazzled the crowd
with a weaving 39 yard touchdown on a reverse along with another 12 yard run
for a TD. O'Connell is also one of the most dangerous punt returners
in the state.
