The bruising Hurricane fullback led Hayward to a win over Spooner 41-7
as Dixon piled up 194 yards on 34 carries and scored 3 TDs on runs of 36, 5 and 1 yard. Bucky trails only Zach Pomputis of OW in total rushing yards this season and has stayed healthy despite carrying the ball an average of 35 times a game for 7-0 Hayward. A broken thumb derailed Dixon's season last year but, barring an injury, he should go over 2000 yards this season. Hurricanes have showdown at home with high scoring Bloomer this Friday for the HON title but if the Blackhawks cannot slow down the senior fullback, Bloomer may never get the ball back to get their offense in gear. |
