Tuesday against Mondovi, Wankel broke off TD runs of 79 and 62 yards and finished with 182 yards on 10 carries for an 18.2 average per carry. Add a 23 yard pass reception and Wankel had a great night and took the pressure off backfield mate Matt Dachel. Bloomer (9-1) now advances to Level 2 play at Somerset (9-1) where the Spartans rarely if ever lose a game.
