Game Result: Cumberland 53, Chetek - Weyerhaeuser  18
Cumberland is off to a fast 2-0 start this season thanks in part to the stellar play of 5' 10" QB Kyle Narges. Narges started last season for the Beavers and that experience is paying dividends for Coach J.R. Buckley. Narges guided the Beavers to a convincing 53-18 win over Chetek last week. Passing 7-12 for 153 yards and 2 TDs, including a 47 yard TD to Travis Miller was only half the story. Narges also ran for 117 yards on 10 carries but 3 of those carries found the endzone on scores of 1, 25 and 65 yards. The Beavers should continue their early success against Hayward this week before getting into the meat of the schedule and finding out whether this team can challenge the best teams of the HON for the title.
