The C-W Bulldogs had a great season in 2013, finishing with a 9-2 record and 6-1 in the HON. Hopes are high this season with the return of several starters for head coach Brad Knickerbocker, and as long as senior running back Jonny Chamberlain is in the backfield, those hopes could reach new heights this year. Chamberlain ran for 1218 yards and 14 TDs in 2013 despite missing some time with an ankle injury. Last Thursday, Chetek's version of Jonny Football picked up where last season left off and then some. The diminutive tailback slashed through Elk Mound's defense for 277 yards on 29 carries and found the end zone 4 times. Running behind a massive offensive line, Chamberlain's 3 TDs in the third quarter opened up a tight game and spurred the Bulldogs on to an easy opening game win. C-W's early season schedule should have Chamberlain putting up big numbers before a midseason showdown with rival Bloomer.
