Game Result: Eau Claire Memorial 34, La Crosse Central 7
Eau Claire Memorial head coach Paul Kling knew what he had at quarterback at the start of the 2014 season. All Coach Kling had to do was hand the ball to 3 year starter Ben Everhart and watch the offense unfold. Everhart threw for 212 yards in game one in a loss to Logan but really hit his stride in last week's 34-7 win against La Crosse Central. Throwing with pinpoint accuracy, Everhart completed 21 of 24 passes for 303 yards and 3 TDs and added 28 yards rushing and another TD. The 6 '2" signal caller for the Old Abes has matured from a struggling sophomore season when he threw 13 interceptions to become Memorial's all time leading passer with 2740 career yards and 23 TD tosses to date. Getting 4 wins in the Big Rivers to make the playoffs is never guaranteed but look for EC Memorial to be a threat to win anytime Everhart is on the field.
