| Superior's 6'3" QB is well known on the shores
of the big lake but south of that, not so much. Mehlum's performance last week
against Big Rivers defending champ, Hudson, put his numbers and his team on the
radar for the remaining schedule. The Spartan's QB completed 16 of 24 passes for
341 yds and touchdowns of 7, 8, 38, 55, and 94 yards in Superior's 35-28 upset.
Mehlum now has thrown for 797 yards on the season with 10 TDs through the air to
put the Spartans in the Big River's drivers seat. With nearly 3000 career yards
and 29 TDs up to this point, opponent's can expect more of the same from the
Superior air show. |
