Clint Warminski is one of the best two way players in northern Wisconsin, but the spotlight seldom found him, unlike the way it did last Friday. Warminski found the end zone 5 times against Osseo-Fairchild in the Orioles 55-12 runaway. The bruising 6'1" 200 running back bulled his way to 4 rushing TDs from 35,19,8 and 3 yards out on only 10 carries for 120 yards. He added one more score from 13 yards out amongst his 3 receptions. Don't expect a gaudy stat sheet for Clint the rest of the season as his extremely talented defending D5 champion running mates Ronnie Ponick and Zach Thomas will share the ball in the Orioles spread option attack. Not to be out done by the offense, the defense started the season with 3 consecutive shutouts and now have only surrendered an eye popping 34 total yards rushing and 14 defensive points through 4 games. Warminski and Zach Thomas are tackling machines from their line backer spots where teams have had no success whatsoever. If Clint can stay healthy (missed several games last year due to a severe leg injury), he and the Orioles may not see a real worthy opponent until Level 3 or 4 of the playoffs on their flight to Madison.
