Game Result: Superior 56, Ashwaubenon 35
James Morgan came into the Level 2 game against Superior as the leading passer in the state. His numbers were very impressive. 427 yards passing and 3 TDs should have been enough for an Ashwaubenon victory but the Spartans Nick Mehlum was having none of that. The Superior QB answered with 325 yards passing as well but 6 of those passes also found the end zone and led Superior to a resounding 56-35 win. The Spartans defense picked off 3 passes and Jake Libal returned a kickoff 85 yards for a score in a true team effort to advance to Level 3. Mehlum will need to add to his season total of 38 TD passes as the Spartans take on number 1 seed Menasha in their D2 battle.
