Game Result: Northwestern  20, Bloomer  0
Last Friday showcased a match-up between HON traditional powers Northwestern and Bloomer. The Hawks came in with a 3-0 record while the Tigers were fresh off a wild 40-33 win at Chetek-Weyerhaeuser and looking to establish themselves as a contender again for the HON title they shared with Hayward in 2015. Sr. running back, Carter Spangenberg, picked up where he left off from the C-W shootout. Against the Bulldogs, Spangenberg ran for 211 yards and followed that up with 188 yards on 20 carries to lead the Tigers to a 20-0 shutout of Bloomer. His 80 yard cutback TD run in the second quarter, opened the scoring for Northwestern and the Tigers never looked back. Northwestern is locked with Hayward for the HON lead with 2-0 records and meet head to head in week 7.
