The game last week featured two teams without a win in the Dairyland conference. Blair-Taylor and Augusta both were sitting at 0-5 with nothing to play for but pride and love of the game. Blair-Taylor QB, Josh Nitek, rose to the challenge in a game he, nor Cardinal fans, will never forget. Nitek rushed for an amazing 374 yards on 20 carries, scoring 4 times on the ground plus he returned a kickoff 90 yards for a fifth touchdown. Add a 24 yard touchdown pass and you have one of the most remarkable efforts ever recorded in northwest Wisconsin football. The 40-12 score may not be remembered, but the records will be. Nitek has now rushed for 1140 yards on the season, only 18 yards shy of the school record he established last year.
