Game Result: Fall Creek 42, Cadott 28
Wake up Ethan, wake up....you're dreaming....don't believe it Ethan, it is all very real. A dream game happens for an athlete every so often, and Ritger's dream game came true last Friday in Fall Creek's 42-28 win over Cadott. The first half was a tight scoring affair with Ritger running for 1 TD and throwing a halfback pass to Joe Weggen for a second to go to half tied at 14 with the Hornets. The second half is when the dream came true. With the game on the line, Ritger scored 4 rushing TDs including a 36 yard scamper late in the fourth to put the game out of reach for Cadott and give the win to the Crickets and keep their playoff hopes alive. When the fairy dust had settled, Ritger had amassed a school record 325 yards rushing while accounting for 6 touchdowns, 5 of them on the ground. How good was this game for Ritger? He doubled his rushing total from his previous four games and more than doubled his TD output. Sometimes Friday night lights make dreams come true.
