| Elk Mound did not have a tough game last week
against an Altoona team that is way down, but it was a fitting scene to pay
tribute to the legendary career of Mounder RB Brady Redwine. Redwine's junior
season was phenomenal, rushing for 2598 yards on an amazing 342 carries. So
expectations were sky high for the Elk Mound senior for the 2018 season but as
high school coaches know, it is hard to replace experienced, physical offensive
linemen. Redwine suffered through some offensive growing pains but the Mounders
appear to have found their rhythm in their running game, and Redwine's 1422
yards on the season is back on track. A 2000 yard season is not out of the realm
of possibilities as Elk Mound enters the playoffs as co-champs of the Dunn-St.
Croix. |
