Game Result: Northwestern 41, Bloomer 6
Defending HON champ Northwestern drew the always tough Bloomer Blackhawks in Week 2 of the revised schedule. The intense rivalry game turned into a nice win for the Tigers behind the powerful running of tailback Colin Trautt. Trautt repeatedly found daylight off tackle and responded to the O-lines hard work with 239 yards rushing for the night and 2 TDs. Trautt rushed for 1007 yards in 2019 and is on pace to once again hit the 1000 yard mark in 2020. The physical Northwestern defense held the usual potent Bloomer running game to a mere 45 yards to secure the 41-6 win and go to 2-0 in the Heart of the North.
